"Jesus Speak" Sociolinguistic Analysis
This sociolinguistic analysis represents a large-scale research project I completed in a course called Language Theory. By grounding secondary research in my own personal narrative, I applied theoretical perspectives regarding the necessity, purpose, and inclusive/exclusive nature of speech communities to a language variety analysis comparing the language of Jesus with the language of American Christians.

Writing Center Research
The following video is a collaborative research endeavor that my colleagues Jason Cessor, Jenny Crelia, Joshua Johnson, and Kelsie Walker and I presented at the International Writing Centers Association Conference in San Diego, CA (2012) and the South Central Writing Centers Association Annual Conference in Corpus Christi, TX (2013). The purpose of our research was to explore why interns in our writing center felt reluctant to have their own writing conferenced by other interns. In turn, we hoped to discover what could be done to improve an intern’s ability to both conference and be conferenced. This video represents the data portion of our case study.
